Rhonda Alamour is a lifelong North Carolina resident and teacher. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and a license in 6-12 grade Education from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In addition to teaching, Rhonda formerly worked as a Writing Consultant at UNC Asheville’s University Writing Center. In 2015 she was recognized as a Newman Civic Fellow and continues to work towards engaging with and serving her community. The same year she was also recognized by the National Education Association as an “Outstanding Statewide Student Leader” and awarded the honor of UNC Asheville’s 2015-2016 Student Teacher of the Year. This year she was nominated for the Teacher of the Year award by her colleagues.
